Overview
The OtsoSmart is a smart power factor correction unit that adjusts the power factor to the desired value in real-time by linearly tracking the load profile. The size of the OtsoSmart device is defined based on the power quality measurement. With the same measurement, the condition of the electrical network (unbalanced load, etc.) and the suggested actions are also determined.

Reactive power
The OtsoSmart corrects the power factor to the desired value (factory setting 0.99), removing both inductive and capacitive reactive power. Possible reactive power charges are reset.

Unbalanced Load
The device includes an additional feature that corrects the unbalanced load of the electrical network:
- The harmonics caused by unbalanced loads are reduced
- The current in the neutral conductor caused by unbalanced loads is almost completely eliminated
Remote monitoring
The device remotely monitors electrical parameters and records data that can be viewed in real-time or retroactively up to 12 months from now.
Installation
The OtsoSmart is installed in parallel and does not require a power outage.
The OtsoSmart is almost maintenance-free. The filter of the equipment must be cleaned 1-2 times a year (every 6 months in a dusty center). The procedure must be performed by an authorized electrical professional.
